This article is about Wilmington lawyer Michael Lee running as the Republican candidate for the District 9 Senate seat. He will be replacing Senator Thom Goolsby, who announced last week that he will not be seeking reelection later this year. Lee ran against Goolsby in the 2010 GOP primary, but lost. After losing, he threw his support for Thom Goolsby. Former state Rep. Danny McComas and State Rep. Ted Davis are endorsing Michael Lee. I think that it's good that someone local is running for the position, especially if he is being supported by a lot of other members of government.This article relates to United States Government and Politics because it deals with people running for the position of Senator.
